Fleeing the Fires
When wildfires strike a community and everyone has to flee, animals are also forced to flee.
We recently took in puppies fleeing from wildfires in Manitoba, it was a collective effort between rescues working together to help many animals in need. This litter was surrendered by their owners and after a long journey from Manitoba to Alberta, they are safe and sound in the warm and loving homes of our wonderful fosters.
We do everything we can to help dogs and cats like these get into a safe environment and with that can come some steep vetting bills and other costs.

Through Your Pets Eyes Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in the Edmonton and Central Alberta Region.

Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted, stray, mistreated, distressed dogs and cats. To ensure healthy animal-human relationships through education and advocacy of up to date scientific and humane treatment of animals. We are proudly force free and have vetted wonderful force free fosters, volunteers, and adopters.

We aspire to have compassion for all and improve the relationship between human - animal and help achieve a world without exploitation.
We strive to continue our force free vision, with current teachings in appropriate and humane ways to handle animals and humans. We will always be force free with animals as well with humans. We avoid shaming, rather we gently council those who are willing to further understand the meaning and importance of force free.
